Amarok on other Desktops and Operating Systems: Amarok on Windows - Handbook entry

completed by: Ivan Nakov

mentors: Valorie Zimmerman

Thorough explanation of the Amarok build on Windows; both how to build it, and any Windows-only quirks in running Amarok on Windows.  Requires some wiki markup, as well as screenshots for illustrating the text. Building Amarok on Windows is required of course. Nitrostemp's build is at http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Windows#Windows_Installer_by_Nitrostemp . You'll find Nitrostemp often in #amarok on Freenode IRC if you need to ask him questions.

http://userbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Amarok/Manual/AmarokOnOtherPlatforms/Windows exists, but needs to be written, marked up, and illustrated as a handbook page. Please look at some of the existing Handbook pages to get an idea for style and layout.

http://userbase.kde.org/Tasks_and_Tools will get you started. http://userbase.kde.org/Quick_Start is a bit more in-depth.

http://userbase.kde.org/EditMarkup is important, as are http://userbase.kde.org/Toolbox and http://userbase.kde.org/Typographical_Guidelines , along with proper spelling and grammar. I'll work with you on this.

Please come into #amarok and #rokymotion (Freenode IRC) with questions -- even if I'm not around, they are both full of helpful, knowledgeable people.
