RaspberryPi: Intro to Raspberry Pi 2

completed by: Samuel Kim

mentors: AJ Williams, Arc Riley, David Czech

Its relatively easy to get PySoy (and related libraries) running on a Raspberry Pi, making it a good first step for our Google Code-in students to take. This task walks you through the installation process.

First, download an SD card image for the Raspberry Pi. We provide one which has PySoy and all dependencies already installed, or you may install another image and install the dependencies yourself (this varies in difficulty and is only recommended for experienced users).

Next, pull the most recent version of libsoy and pysoy repositories and build them. Document the steps you took (photos of your screen are great), areas you have trouble with, and recommendations to improve the documentation or process.

While working on this task you should join and remain in #CopyleftGames on Freenode to get help, feedback, and guidance from mentors and other developers. Code updates which may affect your work are also announced here as they happen.

When you've done, post a photo of your screen and your notes to this task.
